About Us

The St. Louis Affiliate of the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses Society began in 1996. We serve the greater St. Louis region and are an official affiliate of the national WOCN.  The WOCN Society is a professional nursing society, dedicated to the management and rehabilitation of patients with Wound, Ostomy and Continence issues.

The STLWOCN supports its members by promoting educational, clinical and research opportunities to advance the practice and guide the delivery of expert health care to individuals with wounds, ostomies or incontinence.

Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) Nurses specialize in conditions such as stomas, draining wounds, fistulas, vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, neuropathic wound, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, functional disorders of the bowel and bladder. We are dedicated to prevention, treatment and rehabilitation while maintaining our core values of trust, leadership, communication, integrity, vision and diversity as well as professionalism.
